1. Oil must be used well.

In terms of oil, turbochargers are relatively "precious gas". Compared with ordinary natural aspiration engines, turbochargers require more oil. Take Bao as an example, the phenomenon of burning oil is mostly due to the damage of oil seal between turbochargers and intake pipes, because the main spindle of turbochargers adopts floating design, and the whole spindle relies on lubricating oil to dissipate heat and lubricate. If inferior oil is used, the floating Turbine Spindle will not be lubricated and heat dissipated properly because of its high viscosity and poor fluidity.

 

Suggestion: Turbocharger is suitable for all synthetic oil, and the oil replacement cycle should be shortened appropriately. Choose oil with good antioxidant properties. Wear resistance, high temperature resistance, lubrication and heat dissipation will also be better.

 

2. Replace oil filter and air filter in time

When using turbochargers, special attention should be paid to the timely replacement of oil/air filters and the cleanliness of turbochargers. Generally speaking, the matching gap between turbocharger shaft and Bush is very small. If the oil used is impure or the oil filters are not clean, excessive wear and tear of turbochargers will occur. Secondly, due to the large amount of impurities in the air, once the dust particles enter the high-speed operation. This will cause dust particles to hit the supercharger. This causes the turbine to run unsteadily. As a result, wear and tear.

It should be noted that for the removal and replacement of filters, turbocharger is very particular. Remove the turbocharger. Block the intake port, exhaust port and oil inlet, and do not touch the actuator, connecting rod, in order to avoid deformation.

 

3. Slow start of cold car and idle stop of hot car

When the cold car starts, the oil temperature is usually relatively low, viscous and the lubrication effect is not good. So when the temperature rises to the normal temperature, the lubrication effect can be achieved, and in this process. If the turbine is forced to work at full load. It will wear and tear. Therefore, it is suggested that the cold car should idle for 3-5 minutes before driving. Especially in winter, we must first heat up the car before we leave.

In addition, when parking, it is better to idle in place for a while before extinguishing, because when the turbocharger works, the temperature will be very high. After the car is out, the turbine will continue to run for a period of time due to inertia, that is to say, the role of lubricant is still needed at this time. If the engine is shut down immediately after parking, then the cooling system and the supply of lubricant will stop, which will damage the vehicle bearings. So, let the engine run for 2-3 minutes before quenching, so that the turbine has enough time to cool down.
