Our company is a professional supplier of turbocharger and
other motorcycle parts . We have been in this line for many years , and
have established a long-term relationship with lots of famous
enterprises . Besides, we are one of the turbocharger jet engine
manufacturers in China . Since our products enjoy high quality and
reasonable price, many customers are willing to purchase our goods .
A jet engine is made up of basically four main parts: the intake, the
compression, the combustion and the exhaust. The intake occurs through
the intake nacelle at the front of the jet engine. Air flows into the
nacelle and strikes the compressor blades and starts turning them, thus
drawing
in more air into narrower and narrower blades and compressing the
inflowing air. The jet engine has at the intake a set of turbine blades
that
are fashioned to draw the air in. The blades increase in pitch so that
air that has been drawn in is compressed and is under high pressure as
it travels past the intake turbine blades.
The turbocharger jet engines
are based around standard automotive turbochargers, commonly used in
many vehicles today. A turbocharger in a car or truck utilizes the
engine's exhaust gases by sending them through a turbine which harnesses
the exhaust gases for shaft power. This shaft is then used to drive a
centrifugal compressor on the other side of the turbo which is connected
to the turbine. The turbine can spin the compressor impeller, in my
TO4B for example, at speeds of over 2000 revolutions per second or
120,000 rpm. When the air is compressed by the impeller at these speeds
it generates "boost" pressure of anywhere from 15 to 30+ psi depending
upon the turbo. This compressed air is then fed into the air intake of a
car or truck, increasing the amount of oxygen being burned in the
engine, resulting in more horsepower.
These jet engine send
the compressed air into a propane burning combustion chamber where the
fuel and air is mixed. When this happens, the hot exhaust gases expand
in overall volume than the compressed air from the inducer. At this
point the turbocharger is capable of sustainingitself. This is what many
people would call the definition of a jet engine. Many of the engines
that power passenger jets and cargo aircraft use "axial flow" jet
engines. What this means is that the impellers in these engines send the
air directly behind them like a propeller. Although these impellers
cannot compress as much air, they are significantly more efficient than
centrifugal impellers making them more popular in most jet engines. My
engine is classified as what is known as a "radial flow" or
"centrifugal" jet engine meaning that the air taken in through the
inducer impeller is spun out the side and compressed rather than
compressed in a axial pattern as in most common jet engines.
